All Running Tools

Free pace charts and calculators for every race distance.

5kPaceChart.com provides free, accurate running pace tools for every distance — from the 1-mile time trial to the full marathon. Every calculator works instantly in your browser with no sign-up, no ads interrupting your calculation, and no data stored.

Whether you're a beginner planning your first 5K, an experienced runner chasing a Boston Qualifier, or a coach setting training zones for athletes, you'll find a tool here that saves you the mental math.

All tools work in both metric and imperial: you can enter times and get paces in min/km and min/mile simultaneously, with instant unit toggling on every table.

All distances use precise values: 5K = 5.000 km = 3.10686 mi  ·  10K = 10.000 km = 6.21371 mi  ·  Half = 21.0975 km = 13.1094 mi  ·  Full = 42.195 km = 26.2188 mi

How Running Pace Works

Pace vs. Speed

Pace is time per unit distance (min/km or min/mile). Speed is distance per unit time (km/h or mph). Runners use pace; cyclists use speed. Both measure the same thing from opposite angles.

Miles vs. Kilometers

1 mile = 1.60934 km. A 9:00/mile pace equals 5:35/km. Road races in the USA and UK use miles; most of the world uses km. Our tools output both so you always have both.

Even Splits vs. Negative Splits

Even splits means running every km at the same pace. Negative splits means running the second half slightly faster. Most PBs and BQ qualifications use negative splits — start conservative, finish strong.
